Vegas’ cooler weather won’t last very long

Enjoy the last couple days of double-digit weather, Las Vegas, because it's going to get hot again soon.

Highs on Saturday are expected to reach 94 degrees, National Weather Service meteorologist Chad Shafer said, five degrees cooler than the Sep. 5 average of 99 degrees.

Shafer expects winds to blow at a blustery 15 to 25 miles per hour on Saturday, with some gusts reaching up to 30 miles per hour. The Las Vegas valley had an "extremely remote" chance of seeing rain.

Sunday's high will reach 96 and Monday will climb to 98, Shafer said. High temperatures will hit triple-digits starting Tuesday, and stay there Wednesday and Thursday.
