Warm weather on the way, before another storm hits this weekend

Temperatures in Las Vegas will rise as the storm system that brought record rainfall to the valley passes, the National Weather Service said.

Sunday saw a high of 76 degrees and a low of 54 degrees, meteorologist Andrew Gorelow said. Temperatures are expected to rise from here with a high of 80 degrees on Monday, 89 degrees on Tuesday, 90 degrees on Wednesday and 84 degrees on Thursday. Come Friday temperatures will drop down to 76 degrees due to another storm system that will pass through the valley, Gorelow said.

Temperatures will drop and wind speeds will pick up around mid-week as Wednesday is expected winds near 15 to 20 miles per hour. Winds will pick up on Thursday to around 20 to 30 mph. There is a 20 percent chance of showers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Gorelow said, especially around higher elevations.
