Warmer weather on the way for Las Vegas Valley this weekend

Thursday's temperatures were about 10 degrees below normal, but the weekend's warming trend will restore normal temperatures to the Las Vegas Valley.

Thursday saw a high of 54 degrees and low of 30 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Friday's high is expected to be 58 degrees; the low is expected to be 39 degrees. Saturday is expected to have a high 60 degrees; Sunday's high will jump to 65. The valley will have a high near 70 on Monday, meteorologist Justin Pullin said.

The weekend will be calm with little wind and mostly sunny skies, the weather service said.

There's no chance for rain in the Las Vegas Valley this weekend, National Weather Service meteorologist John Adair said. Skies this weekend will be mostly clear, with some passing high clouds, he said.

The mountains are not expecting any snow this weekend. Sunday may be "a little breezier" in the mountains, Adair said, with speeds up to 15 mph.
