Mountain’s Edge goes Western

The fourth annual Country in the Park festival returns to Mountain’s Edge May 8 at the 3,500-acre master-planned community’s Exploration Park, located on Buffalo Drive one block south of Blue Diamond Road. The event, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., is free to the public and features live entertainment, themed games and activities for all ages.

UNR dominates in Governor’s Cup

The University of Nevada, Reno swept first-place awards in the 2010 Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup Collegiate Business Plan Competition. Seven teams of students from around the state nabbed a share of $200,000 in prize money for their startup ideas during the awards ceremony at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno on Thursday night.
