Anglers are finding good action for striped bass. Sand Island has been productive. Most fish have been in the 1- to 3-pound range, but there also have been reports of larger fish. Catfish as large as 5 pounds have been fooled by anglers working the shoreline, and smallmouth bass have been hitting as well. All around, it has been a good fishing week.
