Surprise — gas prices in Las Vegas are going up again

There’s still some deals around at Las Vegas gas stations but the low prices motorists have paid at the pump are coming to an end, at least for now.

Social Security workshops: Nevada State Bank is hosting free workshops at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. March 17 at Nevada State Bank’s Conference Center, 750 E. Warm Springs Road, 1st floor. Rector leads Utah St. past Wyoming, 88-70, in MWC tournament

Nevada unemployment drops again in January

The state’s unemployment rate slid to 6.2 percent in January, down from 6.3 percent in December and 7.1 percent in January 2015, the state Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation reported Wednesday.
