Brizeida Mora-Herrera was 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored Friday to lift Chaparral’s softball team to a 7-6 home win over Boulder City.

Roundup: Rancho squeaks by Gorman

Liliana Gutierrez was 2-for-3 with two RBIs Tuesday to help Rancho’s softball team to a 5-4 win at Bishop Gorman.

Roundup: Desert Oasis takes out Silverado to win tournament

Holly Severence homered and drove in three runs Saturday to help the Desert Oasis softball team beat Silverado 14-6 in six innings in the championship game of the Colorado River Invitational in Needles, California.

Roundup: Ashley Ward lifts Coronado in Arizona tournament

Ashley Ward went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and two RBIs to lead the Coronado’s softball team to a 12-5 win over Torrance (California) at the Tournament of Champions in Bullhead City, Arizona.

SOFTBALL: Shadow Ridge holds off Centennial after two-run sixth

Caitlyn Covington went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs, and Shelbi Denman struck out nine in a complete game to lead Shadow Ridge’s softball team to a 7-6 road win over Centennial on Tuesday.

SOFTBALL: Liberty rallies to beat Basic in eight innings

Marisa Olmos went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs, and Liberty’s softball team scored twice in the top of the eighth inning to rally for a 10-8 victory over host Basic on Tuesday.
