Clark County School District may pull the plug on NV Energy

On Thursday, the School Board is set to hear a presentation from Capital Dynamics, an independent global asset manager, to discuss “potential energy savings” of millions of dollars for the district.

Thomsen resigns from Nevada utilities commission

Paul Thomsen has resigned as a member of the Public Utilities Commission. He gave no reason for his departure in his letter of resignation, which is effective May 15. Thomsen was appointed to the post by Gov. Brian Sandoval in September of 2015.

Nevada lawmakers want solar industry back on track

Nevada’s burgeoning rooftop solar industry crashed and burned last year after new rates for net metering were approved that did away with financial incentives for the green energy investment. Now several state lawmakers want to get the industry back on track and growing again.
