Friendly Ford supports Toys for Tots for the 14th year

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve stops by Friendly Ford every year as part of the annual Toys For Tots campaign. The group has been visiting the dealership this time each year for the past 14 years.

As is the case every year, a 2015 Ford F-150 truck was packed with toys for the drive that benefits needy children. Complete with bicycles, footballs, basketballs and an assortment of other gifts, the campaign headed each year by Friendly Ford Care Coordinator Geri Bich was a huge success.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation has been the fundraising and support organization for Toys for Tots since 1991. In 2001, the foundation earned a ranking in the Philanthropy 400.

Over its life span, the Marine Toys for Tots program distributed 491 million toys to more than 230 million less fortunate children.

Friendly Ford general sales manager Steve Crevling said the dealership's personnel gets a great thrill out of helping the cause each year.

"Geri has seen this all the way through," said Crevling. "She talked to everyone in the dealership encouraging them to help Toys for Tots."

Crevling said the annual agreement to help Toys for Tots is always heartfelt.

"The U.S. Marines Toys for Tots is comprised of some of the most dedicated and caring people on earth," Crevling said. "Friendly Ford is one of their first stops, and we always sincerely appreciate their visit."

Thomas McGrath, Toys for Tots chairman of the Marines Las Vegas, said Friendly Ford has long been a backer of the entire Toys for Tots campaign.

The dealership has been a sponsor of the annual Toys for Tots golf tournament each November for at least the past decade.

"Friendly Ford is also one of the key sponsors of Toys for Tots Tee Off for Tots golf classic each year," McGrath said. "They employees are always by our side to help out each and every year. Next year will be Friendly Ford's 15th year helping Toys for Tots."
