Friendly Ford salesman has good reason to believe in what he’s selling

It isn’t often that automotive technicians move to sales at an automobile dealership, but Friendly Ford’s Tod Donner is one individual who likes a challenge.

A 15-year resident of Las Vegas, Donner brings to the table another level of knowledge especially as it relates to the inner workings of a vehicle.

A former transmission technician, Donner is big on the quality and the workmanship of the components included in every Ford manufactured.

“Considering that Ford-manufactured transmissions are covered by a three-year, unlimited-mile warranty, it’s safe to say that the customer is getting a quality product,” Donner said. “In fact, all warranties are backed by Ford Motor Co. and supported by more than 3,000 Ford and Lincoln dealerships nationwide, or at originating place of service.”

Donner said the Ford Built-Tough tag is exemplary especially in Ford’s rock-solid F-150, the nation’s top-selling truck for the past 40 years.

“Ford’s quality is unmatched,” Donner said. “There is no better example of that than the awards the F-150 has received. Ford invested $1.4 billion and retained 500 workers at its Livonia transmission plant in Michigan to assemble the 10-speed transmission last June.

“The 10-speed transmission debuted on the new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor.”

Whether it’s for towing a boat or working in the construction industry, the Ford truck and its components are unbeatable, Donner said.

“The transmission in a Ford truck is bulletproof,” he added. “It sells itself.”

Friendly Ford was recently named a Triple Crown winner, the result of its having a high rating in customer satisfaction, being in the top 100 dealers in sales in the country and earning the Premier Club distinction for Ford parts.

The dealership is also an 18-time winner of the prestigious President’s Award, Ford’s highest single honor for customer satisfaction.

Situated at 660 N. Decatur Blvd, Friendly Ford has been at the same location since 1970. The dealership will celebrate its 47th anniversary April 7.
