Costco spending $1.4M for gas pumps at northern Las Vegas location

Updated December 21, 2017 - 3:21 pm

Costco, the retailer known for selling items in bulk to its members, will put more than $1 million into new gas pumps at its northern Las Vegas location.

The Costco near the intersection of North Decatur Boulevard and the 215 Beltway will receive three gas dispensers, with two pumps each, said Bryan Blank, a Costco regional vice president.

“We will begin the project as soon as possible after the new year,” Blank said. Construction will put the gas station area of the store out of use for about 30 days.

The city issued a permit that details $1.4 million worth of work on the dispensers and a canopy, according to city records.

A new Costco planned for Henderson doesn’t yet have an exact opening date.

The company plans to open the store — near St. Rose Parkway and Amigo Street in the southwestern part of the city, near the executive airport and M Resort — before next year’s holiday season, Blank said. It’s part of the planned 54-acre St. Rose Square retail center.

Costco has four locations in the Las Vegas Valley, according to the company’s website.

Earlier this year, Costco, based in Washington state, invested $1.9 million to double the gas pumps at its Summerlin store near the intersection of West Charleston Boulevard and the 215 Beltway.
