1 dead, 2 injured in northeast Las Vegas shooting

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one dead and two injured early Monday morning.
Police said that the shooting occurred in the 4400 block of East Washington Avenue.
According to Lt. Robert Price, at about 1 a.m. Monday, Metro received a ShotSpotter notification indicating gunfire in the area.
Arriving officers found three people who were suffering from gunshot wounds. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Two other victims, according to Lt. Price, were transported to UMC, where they are in “stable but critical condition.”
“We do have individuals detained on scene, ” Lt. Price noted. “We do believe this is an isolated incident and do not believe there is any threat to the public.”
Lt. Price said the two people who were detained on scene and the victims are all in their mid-to-late-teens. However, he didn’t specify further on the ages.
Authorities are asking anyone with information on the shooting to contact police.
