Trio sentenced to federal prison for Las Vegas armed robberies

Three men were sentenced to federal prison Wednesday for their roles in a string of convenience store armed robberies across the Las Vegas Valley.

Kevin Hall, 29, Justin Loper, 29, and Keith Williams, 26, pleaded guilty in April to one count of conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery; three counts of interference with commerce by robbery; and one count of brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.

U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro sentenced Hall to serve 154 months, Loper to serve 184 months, and Williams, 147 months, a combined total of about 40 years.

In mid-2014, the trio entered businesses in Las Vegas and North Las Vegas during the early morning hours, ordering customers to lie on the floor and then held an employee at gunpoint until they received money, Metro said at the time.
