3 arrested in shooting of pizza deliveryman in northeast Las Vegas

Three people were arrested Monday in connection with the shooting of a pizza deliveryman in the northeast valley on Sunday.

Darell Lamont Fisher, 28, and Quuneke Thompson, 24, were booked on several counts including attempted murder with a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon and robbery with a deadly weapon. Police also charged them with conspiring to commit robbery, murder and battery with a deadly weapon.

A third person, Odell Otis, 36, was booked on conspiracy to commit robbery.

Wilbur Fredlund, a 60-year-old Manhattan Pizza deliveryman, was taken to University Medical Center Sunday with a gunshot wound to the neck.

Arrest documents show Fredlund arrived about 2:20 p.m. to a residence on the 5200 block of Pentagon Avenue to deliver chicken wings. In the driveway, a man and woman approached him. The man demanded Fredlund to “give me what you got,” then shot him once when refused.

The man and woman took the wings and drove off in a white Buick LeSabre police said.

At 4:50 p.m., a Metro detective followed a person matching one suspect’s description into an apartment complex and found the Buick. At about 5:50 p.m., Fisher and Otis got into the vehicle and police arrested them without incident.

Fisher, Thompson and Otis are being held at the Clark County Detention Center.
