Police looking for suspects in shooting that injured 4 people near downtown hotel

Four people were injured Sunday morning after an argument led to a shooting on the 200 block of Third Street, Las Vegas police said.

Just before 6:20 a.m., responding officers investigating the shooting found four adults — two men and two women — suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. They were taken to University Medical Center, where one man is in critical condition.

The investigation shows that two unknown suspects were arguing on the sidewalk. As the four adults walked by them, the two groups exchanged words, police said. At some point, one suspect entered a white Lexus sedan with dark tint and a sunroof parked nearby and got a handgun.

The suspect then fired at the victims, striking them, police said. The two suspects then got into the sedan and fired at the victims again as they sped away.

Police described the first suspect as a black man in his 20s, 6-foot-1 and about 180 pounds, wearing a maroon, long-sleeved shirt and bluejeans. The second suspect is described as a light-skinned black man in his 20s, about 5-foot-10, last seen wearing an orange shirt and camouflage shorts.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police Department downtown area command at 702-828-4135, or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.

Ogden Street was closed between Casino Center Boulevard and Fourth Street for several hours while Metro officers investigated the shooting.
