Mimosas & Mozart brunch concert to aid good cause

Great music for a good cause.

That's the recipe for Mimosas & Mozart, a pop-up brunch concert that teams pianist Alexandria Le and chef Beni Velazquez on Dec. 12.

The event will benefit the Las Vegas Wine and Music Festival's Music JuiceBox Series, which brings classical music to homeless shelters, schools and special assistance programs.

Le, artistic director of the festival — which debuted in June — leads a musical lineup that also features violinist Yuri Cho and pianist Timothy Hoft, both UNLV faculty members; Yunior Lopez, founder and conductor of the Las Vegas Young Artists Orchestra (and violist with Toronto's Annex Quartet); and cellist Devon Zubk of Green Valley High School.

They'll play an all-Mozart program that includes the composer's Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor.

Attendees also will enjoy a full brunch and mimosa bar at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 12 at Isabela's, 2620 Regatta Drive.

For reservations ($75, plus sales tax and tip), call 702-925-8333 or email isabelasVegas@gmail.com.
