AS ABOVE/SO BELOW: An archaeologist (Perdita Weeks) believes she’s traced the Philosopher’s Stone, an artifact rumored to be capable of turning metal into gold and granting eternal life, to the Catacombs beneath Paris in this psychological thriller. CANTINFLAS: Oscar Jaeneda stars as the titular Mexican comedy actor in this biopic. In Spanish with English subtitles. At multiple locations. (106 min.) PG; thematic elements, language, smoking and some suggestive material.

LAND HO!: Former brothers-in-law (Earl Lynn Nelson, Paul Eenhoorn) try to reconnect during a trip to Iceland in this road-trip buddy tale. At Village Square. (95 min.) R; some language, sexual references and drug use.

THE NOVEMBER MAN: A former spy (Pierce Brosnan) is lured out of retirement to stop a string of murders sanctioned by the man about to become president of Russia in this thriller based on the novels of Bill Granger. At multiple locations. (108 min.) R; strong violence including a sexual assault, language, sexuality/nudity and brief drug use.

SAINTS AND SOLDIERS: THE VOID: In May 1945, a predominantly white U.S. tank crew reluctantly relies on an African-American tank driver in this drama. At Sam’s Town. (95 min.) PG-13; war violence and a brief epithet.
