Raise a glass to the return of ‘Drunk History’

It’s hopefully the only place you’ll ever see the words “ ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic as Adolf Hitler.”

“Drunk History” (10 p.m. Tuesday, Comedy Central) is back with a new season of sloshed storytellers doing their best to recount important events and people while actors and comedians re-enact their often confused narration — hiccups, burps and all.

In the premiere, host/instigator Derek Waters travels to Montgomery, Ala., where inebriated locals slur their way through stories about the Joe Louis-Max Schmeling fights, African-American research chemist Percy Julian and Claudette Colvin, who was arrested for not giving up her seat on a bus months before Rosa Parks.

Some highlights:

Allan McLeod’s drunken recollection of Julian’s studies in Vienna: “He’s, like, ‘This place is amazing. I mean, we’re doin’ real work here, guys. Carbons and hydrodrons, oxydrons and carbotrons. And that’s molecules for ya.’ ”

Amber Ruffin on the incident that led to Colvin’s arrest: “She takes the bus home from school. So her friends are, like, ‘Hurray, we’re having a fun trip to … home. Uh oh, a white lady.’ ”

And Morgan Murphy on the Fuhrer’s reaction to the African-American Louis’ gaining the upper hand: “And Hitler’s, like, ‘Uh oh, SpaghettiOs!’ ”
