Hot dog! Pizza Hut offers another stuffed crust
June 17, 2015 - 1:21 pm
Since the Fourth of July is right around the corner, hot dogs — an estimated 150 million of which will be consumed by Americans on that day — are on the minds of many. But then again, pizza is pretty much always on the minds of many. So here’s a way to combine the two cravings.
Beginning Thursday, Pizza Huts across the country will offer the Hot Dog Bites Pizza, which has 28 hot dog bites baked into the crust. It’ll be available with one topping (and we’re not sure, but we don’t think hot dogs are available) for $11.99. And it comes with a side of mustard for dipping.
In case the hot dog/pizza collaboration sounds familiar, Pizza Hut has been selling versions of it in — go figure — Australia, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the Middle East.
Sales start at 11 a.m. Thursday. The company says it’s a limited-time thing, and only available while supplies last, so if hot dogs in your pizza crust sounds like the perfect food to you, you’d better get going.
