Hussong’s to add a second Las Vegas cantina
These people really know how to celebrate Cinco de Mayo: Hussong’s Cantina, which has a location in The Shoppes at Mandalay Bay, has announced the opening of a second valley spot, in the Boca Park Fashion Village in northwest Las Vegas.
Hussong’s first U.S. location opened in 2010 and was followed by one in Reno in 2013. The new cantina, scheduled to open this summer, is to be of the fast-casual genre, with a “pared-down” menu and full bar.
Legend has it that the original Hussong’s, in Ensenada, Mexico, was the birthplace of the margarita in 1941, and its Las Vegas menu lists 15 margarita, with variations including tamarind, cotton candy and PB&J in addition to the original, which is called The Original.
