This is the most unusually popular food or drink in Nevada

While pierogies, pepperoni, catfish and crab are unusually popular in certain U.S. states, Nevadans are unusually obsessed with something a little different.

The data comes from those behind the discovery app Foursquare, who identified the singular tastes of all 50 states and Washington, D.C. They compared a mix of data sets including ratings, menus and tips and compared that to other states.

Some of the results are expected, such as lobster in Maine or grits in South Carolina. Some were more interesting, like avocado toast in New York or salad rolls in Oregon.

Nebraska is really into mini corn dogs and Connecticut was identified by “grinders,” which are basically pizza sandwiches.

Nevada was one of only two states with a drink as its winner, along with cherry limeade in Kansas. The data claims bottle service is 842 percent more popular in Nevada than any other state.

In many clubs, bottle service is usually a bottle of vodka and juice mixers provided to a group at a club, but others include champagne packages and other various liquors.

At some places, it’s free depending on who you know or who’s in your group.

At places like Hakkasan in the MGM, it can range anywhere from a few hundred dollars for two bottles to a package called “The Dynastie Collection” that costs $500,000. For that you get nine bottles of Armand de Brignac champagne.

In the interactive map, you can click around and see what restaurants in the state either serve the distinctive food or are famous for it, as well as how much more popular it really is. Or, you can click Nevada for a list of clubs, bars, lounges and strip clubs.
