Brunch at Hexx
For Labor Day weekend, Hexx Kitchen + Bar at Paris Las Vegas will do its part to keep the party going with weekend brunch also available from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday. Brunch items, which are $13.95 each, include a cinnaroll waffle, baked French toast topped with mascarpone and bananas, and a ham and cheese croissant. Beverages include bottomless mimosas for $20 and the Colossal Bloody Mary, pictured, which is served in a mini-pitcher and is $38.
Cheese Pizza Day
Monday’s not only Labor Day but also National Cheese Pizza Day. You can celebrate at Slice of Pizza at the Shoppes at Mandalay Place with a 12-inch cheese pizza for $1.99. Limit one per person.
Casa del Matador
Think Downtown Summerlin has enough restaurants? Think again. The newest entry is Casa del Matador, with dishes such as grilled jalapenos stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in bacon, a chipotle shrimp salad, and street tacos with braised beef, carnitas, pork al pastor, house-made chorizo or shredded chicken, plus 128 tequilas and 23 mezcals ranging from $6 to $250 per shot. Power Lunch at Glutton
Downtown Las Vegas has another power lunch spot. The $30, three-course Power Lunch menu at Glutton, 616 E. Carson Ave., begins with a shared snack such as curried cauliflower or Japanese street corn, followed by two entrees such as chop salad, the Glutton Burger or garganelli pasta, and a shared dessert of either caramel corn profiteroles or peach cobbler. It’s available from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays.
Bourbon Heritage Month
In honor of National Bourbon Heritage Month, Yardbird at The Venetian is offering infused-bourbon flights through Sept. 30. The flight of bacon, apple spice, honey-orange and salted-maple bourbons is $25.
