Where to celebrate National Cheesecake Day in Las Vegas
Unofficial food holidays are always giving people an excuse to go eat something they probably wouldn't have though about on that day — like cheesecake on Thursday. But you never need an excuse to eat cheesecake.
If the Cheesecake Factory is celebrating, we'll say that's pretty official. It's also a great excuse to marathon some Golden Girls.
On a vegan diet or lactose intolerant? Don't worry, you can find some safe cheesecake in Las Vegas.
Here are eight places you can check out today to celebrate National Cheesecake Day:
GRAND LUX CAFE
3355 Las Vegas Boulevard South (inside the Palazzo)
If you're a fan of the Cheesecake Factory, this place will probably remind you of that. They offer original cheesecake, fresh strawberry and Godiva chocolate cheesecake.
BRONZE CAFE
401 S. Maryland Pkwy
If you're lactose intolerant or on a vegan diet, their cheesecake is a must. Flavors vary by day (everything from mocha chocolate to mango to watermelon lemonade).
OTHER MAMA
3655 S. Durango Drive
"Did you just tell me to go to a sushi bar for cheesecake?" Yes. Their Japanese cheesecake is served with a raspberry mint sauce and it's a lot lighter and fluffier than traditional cheesecake, so there are no excuses not the finish it.
TASTY CREPES
4845 S. Fort Apache Rs
Chocolate-dipped frozen cheesecake. Now that's something worth a moment of your time.
JEAN PHILIPPE PATISSERIE
3600 Las Vegas Boulevard South (inside the Bellagio)
If you're not too distracted by their massive chocolate waterfall, stop in for a little cheesecake snack. Flavors range from Oreo to raspberry.
SWEETS RAKU
5040 W. Spring Mountain Rd
If you want something different and want to make a nice evening of it, try their parmesan cheesecake.
IS SWEET
5288 Spring Mountain Rd
You won't be able to stop at the cheesecake, which their fans call close to real New York-style cheesecake.

CHEESECAKE FACTORY
On Wednesday, they're offering any slice of cheesecake for half price. If you're unfamiliar with their menu, Cheesecake Factory probably offers about 30 different flavors, with some low-carb options available.
