Studied karate as a kid and switched to dancing at age 10. ... Danced for six years with Odyssey Dance Theatre in Utah. ... Performed on cruise ships for about 18 months, traveling to the Caribbean, Alaska and the Baltic (and caught a performance by the Kirov Ballet during an overnighter in St. Petersburg, Russia). ... Met wife Katie, a singer and dancer, on his second cruise ship tour; son Kash (“We’re keeping with the K’s”) is now a bit over 3 months old. ... Joined Donny and Marie’s show in September 2009. ... Loves the wide range of dance styles (hip-hop, ’40s jive, ballroom, even ballet) in the show.
Why he loves to dance:
“Just the release I get to have onstage and, like, being able to get my emotions out. I’m a shy, regular person, but onstage I’m just totally different. I like the acting, of being different people and different things onstage. It’s a whole other aspect of myself that I get to let out.”
