Century Communities celebrates Skye Canyon grand openings

Today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Century Communities is celebrating the grand openings of its two newest neighborhoods. Alpine Crossings and Whisper Peak, both in the new Skye Canyon master plan, will offer home shoppers refreshments, entertainment and prizes in addition to tours of the six decorated model homes.

"We are really excited to welcome home shoppers to our new neighborhoods in Skye Canyon," said Diane Paltrineri, sales agent for Century Communities. "It is a truly unique community and has so much to offer in both outdoor activities and amenities."

Combined, Whisper Peak and Alpine Crossings offer home shoppers 10 floor plans to choose from in single and two-story designs. The homes range from 1,731 to 3,528 square feet and all include Century's signature standard features like stainless-steel kitchen appliances, maple kitchen cabinetry, granite kitchen countertops, paver walkways and driveways, integral square sinks and valets (per plan) and 17-inch-by-17-inch tile in entry and wet areas.

Today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests can enjoy complimentary hamburgers, hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches from the popular "Sauced" food truck, along with DJ music, balloon artists, a rock climbing wall and drawings for FitbitsTM and gift cards.

Century Communities is introducing several new floor plans at its Skye Canyon neighborhoods. Whisper Peak offers seven floor plans in two series, ranging from 1,731 to 2,870 square feet.

"At Alpine Crossings, we have some of the larger size homes with up to six bedrooms and up to 4½ baths," Paltrineri said. "We expect our 2,169 square foot plan to be very popular because it is a single-story with an option for a second floor. The second floor can be built as a large bonus room, a bedroom suite or a bonus room with two additional bedrooms. It is very flexible, as are all of the homes in this neighborhood."

Both of Alpine Crossings' two-story plans will be shown as model homes in Skye Canyon. The 3,231-square-foot model includes four bedrooms with a separate first-floor den and an open second-floor loft. The den can be built as an optional casita or multi-generational room with a separate bedroom and sitting room.

"Part of the second floor is also open to the first floor, which adds a dramatic look and feel from both stories," Paltrineri said. "And the master suite is a dream with his-and-hers closets and a beautiful 6-foot bathtub, which is standard in all three Alpine Crossings plans."

Century Communities' largest floor plan in Skye Canyon measures 3,528 square feet and can be built with as many as six bedrooms. "It is another flexible plan that offers options for a three-car tandem garage, a

"It is another flexible plan that offers options for a three-car tandem garage, a first-floor bedroom and bath or a first-floor multigenerational casita with a powder room," Paltrineri said. "Upstairs, the fourth bedroom is a junior suite with its own private bath and the oversized loft can be built as an additional bedroom."

Paltrineri said the 3528 plan at Alpine Crossings also is perfect for those who love to entertain.

"The large kitchen island is a focal point and can seat up to six comfortably with full place settings," she said. "This home also has a separate dining area, which you don't see very often in new home designs."

"Today's event will be a great way to spend the day with your family in this beautiful new community," Paltrineri said. "You'll find that Skye Canyon has a unique look and feel to any other community in Southern Nevada."

Century Communities' Skye Canyon sales offices are now open. Both are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and noon to 5 p.m. on Mondays.

Whisper Peak's sales office is at 9733 Shadow Cliff Avenue in Las Vegas. The sales office can be reached at 702-382-0601.
