Ben & Jerry’s unveils dairy-free, vegan ice cream line

Ben & Jerry's has responded to a Change.org petition that was signed by 28,432 loyal fans of the frozen dessert by unveiling four non-dairy ice cream flavors.

Debuting Wednesday, the certified vegan, almond milk-based ice creams will feature two classic Ben & Jerry's flavors as well as two flavors that are exclusive to the non-dairy line of products.

“We wanted to bring the same fun with all of the creamy, funky, and chunky swirls plus the Ben & Jerry’s flavor excitement to our non-dairy fans and we nailed it," spokeswoman Kristen Schimoler said.

  • P.B. & Cookies: Vanilla with Chocolate Sandwich Cookies & Crunchy Peanut Butter Swirls
  • Coffee Caramel Fudge: Coffee with Fudge Chunks & Caramel Swirls
  • Chocolate Fudge Brownie: Chocolate with Fudge Brownies from Greyston Bakery
  • Chunky Monkey: Banana with Fudge Chunks & Walnuts

According to the Huffington Post, "[they] taste as rich as their creamy cousins, except without the eggs and milk. Instead, each gets its decadence from almond milk and coconut oil."

The non-dairy exclusive P.B. & Cookie flavor will be served in Ben & Jerry's shops nationwide.
