The Clark County coroner’s office on Wednesday identified a 2-year-old boy as the victim of a Christmas day crash in the desert near Seven Magic Mountains.
Aarav Muthyala of Irvine, California, died from blunt force injuries of the head in a minivan rollover crash, according to the coroner.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 2:50 p.m. Sunday on Las Vegas Boulevard South at mile marker 12.
A gray Chrysler Pacifica van was heading south on Las Vegas Boulevard approaching a left curve. The driver was unable to make the turn, causing the van to drive into the right shoulder and overturn, according to the NHP.
There were six people in the van. Muthyala died on the scene and the rest of the occupants were taken to University Medical Center. One adult and another minor were in critical condition, NHP said.
No further information was available.
