23 guns confiscated, man arrested in North Las Vegas drug raids

A law enforcement task force on Thursday arrested a man and confiscated 23 guns, drugs and cash during two raids in North Las Vegas, according to Metro.

Jorge Garcia, a 25-year-old North Las Vegas resident, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and faces drug and weapon charges.

The SCORE Team, a task force comprised of local and federal law enforcement raided a home in the 2000 block of San Miguel Avenue, near the intersection of Clayton Street and Craig Road, and a warehouse less than two miles away in the 3800 block of Craig, Las Vegas police said.

The raids led to Garcia’s arrest and police said they confiscated 24 pounds of ready-to-sell pot, 23 guns, 45 grams of methamphetamine, $15,000 cash and marijuana edibles and THC extract.

Garcia is facing three drug charges including possession and trafficking, and three gun charges including possession by a prohibited person and possession of a gun with an altered or removed serial number.
