Arrest made in shooting at state office building

Las Vegas police arrested a man Monday after they say he shot someone in a state office building.

Leonard Sullivan, 73, of Las Vegas, faces one count of attempted murder.

Metro responded just before 9 a.m. Monday to reports that a person had been shot at the offices of the Department of Administration at 2200 S. Rancho Drive, at Sahara Avenue, which houses state offices that deal with workers compensation and victims of crime.

The person who was shot was taken to University Medical Center.

Police did not have the condition of the person shot.
