Central valley crash sends two to hospital

At least two people were hospitalized after being trapped in a vehicle after a wreck on Desert Inn Road and Seneca Drive, Las Vegas police said.

First responders were called about 5:40 p.m. to the intersection, near Eastern Avenue, Metro Lt. Troy Barrett said. At least two people in one of the vehicles involved had to be freed by firefighters.

They were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where information on their medical condition wasn't immediately available, Barrett said.

Metro's fatal crash unit was investigating and streets in the area were blocked off, Barrett said. The fatal unit investigates fatal, but also serious crashes.
