Charleston closed near Maryland after pedestrian hit by car

Charleston Boulevard is closed between Maryland Parkway and 10th Street after a pedestrian was struck by a car, according to Las Vegas police.
The crash happened about 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries.
Additional details were not immediately available.
Drivers should avoid the area.
