Clark County fire responds to blaze in central Las Vegas Valley

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire Wednesday morning in a light-industrial complex in the central Las Vegas Valley.

The fire broke out about 10 a.m. at 4560 Arville St., near Tropicana Avenue, according to the department.

A cabinet-making business was being disassembled when fumes from chemicals caught fire, Deputy Fire Chief Jon Klassen said.

Additional units were called to the scene because of the potential for the fire to spread and because of hot weather conditions, Klassen said.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and no injuries were reported. The estimated loss is about $5,000.
