Clark County to open eight pools for the season on Saturday
Eight Clark County public pools and water parks will open Saturday to kick off the start of summer and also help families in need.
Donations of new swimsuits for children of all ages will be exchanged for free water bottles commemorating the 50th anniversary of the county’s Parks and Recreation Department.
“Donating a swimsuit to a child in need is a great way to get the summer off to a good start for families that are struggling economically,” commission Chairman Steve Sisolak said.
The following pools and water parks will open Saturday at noon: Cambridge Water Park, Desert Breeze Water Park, Hollywood Water Park, Paradise Water Park, Parkdale Water Park and Walnut Water Park.
Laughlin Water Park and Overton Pool will open Saturday at 1 p.m.
All other county pools will open June 8 except for Logandale Pool, which will open June 17.
