The Clark County coroner’s office has identified the man whose body was found beaten in a vacant lot Wednesday night.

Carlos Humberto Vasquez, 45, was found by Las Vegas police in the 3000 block of Las Vegas Boulevard North about 6 p.m.

Police said Vasquez suffered multiple injuries that was possibly “a result of blunt-force trauma.” The official cause of death was still pending, the coroner’s office said.

Additional information on the crime was not immediately known.
