Discarded fireworks damage Henderson home, 2 vehicles

Two vehicles and a house in Henderson caught fire Monday night after spent fireworks in a trash can reignited.

Henderson firefighters arrived at the home in the 1100 block of Enchanted Court, near Burkholder Boulevard and South Racetrack Road, just after 11 p.m.

Investigators said the fire spread from the trash can to the two vehicles before moving to the home’s garage.

No injuries were reported, but six adults and four children were displaced by the fire. The estimated cost of damage from the fire is $105,000.
