Collin R. Bosley, a 2011 graduate of Mojave High School, graduated from basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command Great Lakes in Illinois on Sept. 30. He will attend Navy A-School for aviation ordnanceman in Pensacola, Fla.

Bosley is the son of Tom and Christina Bosley of North Las Vegas.

Dillon Fedor, 10, won a gold medal for his weight group in the World International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships for Kids and Teens July 9 in Riverside, Calif.

He won Naga and Grapplers Quest categories, beating 12 other competitors.

He is a student at Sérgio Penha & The Art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has a grey belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He also wrestles, kickboxes, practices judo and has obtained his kids' black belt in tae kwon do.

Dillon is a fourth-grader at Alamo Elementary School. He is the son of Greg Fedor of Las Vegas.

Devin J.T. Fleming has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America. He is a member of Troop 702.

For his Eagle project, Fleming helped organize a blood drive for United Blood Services, a school drive for Carl Elementary School, and collected used blankets and money for Lied Animal Shelter.

He enjoys football, working out and being a member of the North Las Vegas Fire Explorers Program. Fleming is the son of Stacy "Bazz" and Janice Fleming of Las Vegas.

Troy G. Batugal, 18, a 2011 graduate of The Meadows School, has been named a National Advanced Placement Scholar. He also was named a National Merit Scholar in May, which earned him a $2,500 scholarship.

He attends Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences in Ithaca, N.Y.

Batugal is the son of Dr. Oscar and Preciosa Batugal of Las Vegas.

Andrew D. Lowe has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. A 2010 graduate of Coronado High School, Lowe is the son of Theresa Lowe of Henderson.

Vyktoria Gilliard-Scott of Las Vegas has been selected to participate in the 2011 Miss Pre-Teen Las Vegas Pageant on Oct. 23. Vyktoria plans to compete in modeling routines, which include casual and formal wear. She will interview with a judging panel to show her personality and interviewing skills.
