Father of infant who died faces murder charge
The father of a 7-month-old baby who died this week was arrested Thursday on a first-degree murder charge, Las Vegas police said.
The baby, Raymond Rodriguez-Gonzalez, was hospitalized Tuesday after being reported unresponsive in the 1900 block of Dwarf Star Drive, near East Lake Mead and North Lamb boulevards. He was pronounced dead at University Medical Center.
Police arrested the baby’s father, 23-year-old Cornelio Rodriguez-Gonzalez on Thursday. He is being held at Clark County Detention Center on a charge of what Metro called murder by child abuse. He is scheduled to appear in court Friday.
