Fire damages shoe repair shop at strip mall
Authorities were investigating a fire in a strip mall store early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters responded about 4:30 a.m. to the Seoul Plaza at 5020 Spring Mountain Road, near Decatur Boulevard, where a fire was discovered in a shoe repair store.
The blaze quickly spread from a repair machine to the attic and then to the entire business. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames. The damage was estimated at $75,000.
The Volcano Tea shop next door had damage to its roof. None of the other businesses were affected.
A Clark County spokesman said the owner had been in the business at the time of the fire and was the person who called 911.
