Henderson police looking for suspect in bank robbery

Henderson police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say robbed a branch bank Tuesday afternoon.

The robbery happened about 12:30 p.m. at the U.S. Bank branch inside Smith’s Food and Drug, 1000 Green Valley Parkway, the department wrote in a release.

A man entered the bank area and approached a teller, demanding money while displaying a gun in his waistband, the release said.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer and he fled.

No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male in his 30s, 5-feet-6-inches tall and 150 to 170 pounds.
