I-15, Cheyenne reopen after crashes involving stolen truck, North Las Vegas police

Multiple crashes that closed streets and freeway ramps around Interstate 15 and Cheyenne Avenue Friday morning have been cleared and all roads are open, according to North Las Vegas police.

Police received a call at 6:30 a.m. that a stolen white Dodge pickup crashed into a police vehicle, according to officer Ann Cavaricci.

After that crash, the pickup driver tried to leave the scene and caused another crash between two more vehicles.

The on-ramp and off-ramps leading to and from I-15 and Cheyenne are now open. All traffic lanes on Cheyenne have been cleared, Cavaricci said.

Minor injuries were reported. It is unknown at the time if any officers were injured in the crash.

The suspect is in custody, she said.
