Las Vegas morning update for Saturday, December 30th — VIDEO

Here are your Saturday morning headlines:

1. A Las Vegas woman’s case was dismissed Friday after spending more than a decade behind bars. Kirstin Lobato was convicted in 2006 of killing a homeless man and cutting off his penis. A judge granted Lobato’s request for a new trial after finding that ineffective assistance of counsel may have played a role in her conviction. On Friday, a judge ordered Lobato to be released from the Nevada Department of Corrections.

2. Las Vegas police have arrested a man and a woman in connection with a deadly shooting at a eastern valley apartment complex. Clarence Wilson and Jawanna Chapman-Doucett were arrested after two people were killed and three were hospitalized after a domestic argument led to a shooting Wewdnesday night.
