Las Vegas police investigate fatal shooting in east valley

A man who was shot to death in the east part of the valley Friday night was in an argument earlier that night, according to Las Vegas police.

Officers responded to an apartment complex at 4581 Carriage Park Drive, near Mountain Vista Street and Vegas Valley Drive, about 11:15 p.m., Lt. Michael Wallace said.

On arrival, they found a man dead in a vehicle parked in the middle of a driveway in the complex with what looked like gunshot wounds.

Police believe the man had an argument with another man in a park next to the apartments, and as he returned to the parking lot of the complex, multiple shots were fired from the area of Mountain Vista toward the parking lot.

Wallace said homicide detectives are investigating.

The identity of the man as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office once his family has been notified.

Police have not identified any suspects.
