Las Vegas police seek help in ID’ing Summerlin robbers

Las Vegas police need help identifying a group of people involved in a Sept. 4 robbery in Summerlin that left two people with gunshot wounds.

The robbery happened just after 2 a.m. at the South Tower Park, near Charleston Boulevard and Vista Center Drive, just west of the 215 Beltway, police said.

Two gave up their belongings when the thieves demanded, police said, but each of them were still shot in a leg. They were taken to University Medical Center with wounds police said were not life-threatening.

Police offered only vague descriptions of the robbers, calling them four to five black teens or young adults about 16 to 18 years old.

They were described as wearing dark clothes, including basketball shorts. The shooter is described as being thin, and standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches. He wore a white t-shirt, black shorts and had very short dreads and black-thick rim glasses, police said.

The robbers stole one of the victim’s cars, a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant with Nevada license plate: 793-LRD.
