Las Vegas police seek information about May 5 shooting

Las Vegas police are asking for help identifying and locating a person they say was involved in a shooting that left a man in critical condition last week.

A man was shot while inside a home about 1:52 a.m. May 5 in the 1300 block of Hassell Avenue, near Martin Luther King and Lake Mead boulevards, according to police.

The shooter fired through the house’s walls from the street before getting into a gray four-door sedan and leaving, police said. A large white SUV was seen with the sedan. Police said the victim and his shooter had no contact with each other before the incident.

The victim was taken to University Medical Center where he was still in critical condition as of Wednesday morning, police said.

Anyone with information about the identity or location of the person or vehicles involved in the shooting is asked to contact Metro’s violent crimes section at 702-828-5634. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or online at www.crimestoppersofnv.com. Tips leading directly to an arrest or indictment processed through Crime Stoppers could result in a cash reward.
