Man arrested in connection to residential North Las Vegas shooting

A man was arrested last week in connection with a March 5 shooting that left one man in critical condition, North Las Vegas police said Wednesday.

Rodolfo Flores-Cerda, 33, has since been booked at the Clark County Detention Center and faces a charge of attempted murder with a deadly weapon. Police said he was in possession of a stolen firearm and his bail is set at $125,ooo.

The 1:10 p.m. shooting that day stemmed from an argument between the man who was shot and Flores-Cerda at a home on the 3900 block of Crystal Breeze Lane, just northeast of Decatur Boulevard and Lone Mountain Road, police said.

When officers arrived, they found the other man with “several gunshot wounds,” police said He was taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit, where he was treated and released.

Flores-Cerda is expected in court March 21. It was unclear why his arrest was announced a week after he was initially taken into custody.
