Man fatally stabbed near northeast valley McDonald’s

Metro homicide detectives were investigating a stabbing death at a northeast valley McDonald’s on Sunday night.

Police were called to the quick service restaurant, located at 2513 E. Owens Ave., near North Eastern Avenue, about 9:30 p.m.

A man was stabbed in the chest and died on the scene, metro supervisor Lt. Dave Valenta said.

Additional details about the man who was killed were not immediately available. His identity will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office after his family has been notified.

Owens Avenue was closed in both directions at Eastern while homicide detectives worked the scene, Valenta said.

The perpetrators left the scene, and no arrests had been made as of 11:30 p.m., Valenta said.

Police initially believed the man was shot.
