A 36-year-old man was seriously injured early Friday morning after being struck by a car that fled the scene near the Palms, Las Vegas police said.
The man was crossing Wynn Road in a crosswalk in front of the casino at 4321 W. Flamingo Road when he was hit by a car that was turning east on Flamingo just after 3 a.m.
He was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police said the car is a late-model, dark-colored, four-door sedan with chrome trim around the windows and a wing or spoiler on the rear.
Flamingo was closed for about three hours but has reopened.
