Man killed in east valley stabbing; police looking for suspect
One man was killed in an east valley stabbing Monday afternoon and police are looking for the perpetrator, according to Metro.
Officers were called just after 2 p.m. to the area of East Owens Avenue and North Sandhill Road where one homeless man stabbed another in the neck and fled, said Metro spokeswoman Officer Laura Meltzer.
The wounded man was taken to University Medical Center where he died, Meltzer said.
Police know who they are looking for in connection with the stabbing, but haven't found him, Meltzer said just after 3 p.m. K-9 units were assisting in the search, she said.
