Man shot dead near UNLV
A man was found shot to death on the ground at an apartment complex near the intersection of Tropicana Avenue and Tamarus Street late Monday night, according to Las Vegas police.
The shooting was reported at 11:35 p.m. in the 5000 block of Tamarus, near the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Metro spokeswoman officer Laura Meltzer said.
Officers found a man lying outside a unit, Meltzer said. He had at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced dead there.
Detectives were piecing together the investigation and talking to people in the neighborhood, Meltzer said.
It wasn’t immediately clear if any arrests have been made.
