Man wanted in North Las Vegas shooting surrenders

A man North Las Vegas police were seeking in connection with a shooting that left a relative critically wounded turned himself in Sunday, police said Monday.

Terry Johnson, 38, is accused of shooting a 42-year-old man last week, police said. The wounded man was taken to University Medical Center where his condition has been upgraded to stable.

The shooting took place Wednesday morning in the 900 block of County Grove Avenue, near Carey Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard, police said. Both men had argued prior to a shot being fired.

Johnson was booked at the Las Vegas City Jail and is facing one count each of attempted murder, domestic battery with a deadly weapon and being in possession of a gun while being an ex-felon, police said.
